Formations
Placing creatures makes a difference:
- A creature placed in the front gains strength and constitution but is targeted by all individual focused physical attacks. The front positions also prefer physical attacks more often.
- A creature placed in the back gains dexterity, with a bit of wisdom and intelligence. The back positions also prefer magical attacks more often.
Merging Creatures
When you merge two creatures:
- Each stat becomes the average of both creatures
- The highest stat of the original creature gets +1
- The highest stat of the merging creature gets +1
- Stats can exceed the base maximum of 20
- 2 random physical and 2 random magical attacks are kept from the combined pool
Merge Chains: A creature cannot merge with the same base creature twice in its active chain. After merging two already-merged creatures, a new chain begins.
Battle System
- Creatures act in order of Speed (highest first)
- Each creature randomly uses a physical or magical attack
- Magical attacks cost MP - if insufficient, a physical attack is used instead
- Attacks can cause buffs (stat boosts), debuffs (stat reductions), or status effects
- After 10 rounds, battle enters fast-forward mode
- After 20 rounds, the battle ends in defeat
