  • Battle Phase: Take turns moving your units - after you move all units, enemies take their turn

Beach 1 0% Standard terrain
Water 2 0% Only swimming units can enter!
Forest 2 +15% Good defensive position
Hill 2 +10% Elevated position

Mountain Impassable +25% Blocks all movement (except a Knight)!

Movement Patterns

Each unit has one of six movement patterns (shown by the icon inside the unit):

Rook 4 tiles Moves in straight lines (up/down/left/right) No

King 2 tiles Moves in any direction (including diagonals) No
Fish 3 tiles Moves in straight lines (up/down/left/right) Yes!
Crab 5 tiles Moves horizontally only (left/right) Yes!

Attack Types

Each unit has one of five attack types (shown by the border color around the unit). After moving, units automatically attack enemies in their attack range:

Attack Border Color Range Damage Pattern
Melee Red 1 tile 40 All adjacent tiles
Pierce Blue 2-3 tiles 30 Straight lines only (not adjacent)
Splash Purple 2 tiles 15 Area of effect (all tiles in radius)
Ranged Orange 4 tiles 20 Line of fire (straight lines)
Backstab Teal 1-2 tiles 65 Player attacks LEFT, Enemy attacks RIGHT

Strategy Tips

  • Use terrain: Position units on forests, hills, or mountains for defensive bonuses
  • Swimming units: Fish and Crab can cross water - use this to flank enemies!
  • Match attacks to positions: Melee units need to get close, Pierce units should stay at range
  • Watch enemy positions: Backstab units deal massive damage from specific directions
  • Knight mobility: Knights can jump over other units - great for surprise attacks
  • Protect ranged units: Keep Pierce and Ranged units behind your melee fighters
  • Check the Help Panel: The right panel shows all current unit types and their abilities
